Specialist Improvements for B.I.S.F. Steel Framed Houses

On steel framed houses it is important to use materials with good expansion / contraction properties. It is not recommended that sand / mortar mixtures such as Tyrolean or Pebble-dash are used as these can crack with time, allowing water into the main frame of the building and causing RUST.

Lightweight Roofing Tiles are available in a traditional pantile profile, and have a unique overlapping system with no exposed Fixings. They are available in six standard colours:

The tiles are made up of many layers, which all fgo towards making this a durable product, but at the same tiem lightweight, making it suitable for all types of application.

All of the above can be enhanced with colour-coordinated accessories, such as:

  • Valleys
  • Hips
  • Verges
  • Ridges
  • Solar Lighting Tubes
  • Roof Windows
  • Steel Chimneys

For a Roof with Striking Advantages
The Lightweight Roofing Tiles are manufactured from steel that is “hot-dipped” in a specialised coating to give a significantly longer Service life than a Galvanised product. This process combines the superior corrosion protection of aluminium, with the advantages of zinc, to produce a corrosion resistant alloy which:

  • Is lighter, easier and quicker to install
  • Can convert any flat roof to a traditional apex structure
  • Reduces Scaffolding time
  • Makes your property weatherproof faster
  • Uses the “dry-fix” method which means no sand, concrete or mastic filler
  • Gives strength and durability
  • Inhibits moss and algae growth
  • Eliminates the need for on-going maintenance
  • Secures your house against weather penetration, or ingress by birds or vermin
